Fallen

When I come by vintage items, I am always curious about those who wore it before me...this gorgeous dress was loaned to me for this shoot by my boyfriend's Mom, Jo-Ann, and while I know she and her sister wore it, I am unaware of the journey the dress has made beyond that. What I love, however, is that I have now become a part of its history.

These photos were taken by the wonderfully talented Kaylen Jolly(as were these and these)and I am sending out a big thank you her way for capturing the beauty of this gown in these shots, and to Jo-Ann for giving me the inspiration for this post and for sharing this very special dress with me ♥

  8. What a timeless classic. I love that this dress looked exactly as fabulous in 1986 as it does in 2011, albeit worn in very different ways. You look stunning walking barefoot in the countryside in this ballgown, and I love the way that the sun lets us see all of the intricate layers of fabric. The messy Carrie Bradshaw-esque bun is the perfect finishing touch :)
