Some readers have asked how I curl my hair, so when Misikko sent me this Hana professional Flat Iron I decided to make a wavy hair tutorial!
Like the Hana Flat Iron, I prefer to use a flat iron that can get to at least 450 degrees (my hair is really think so it needs to be at top heat!) But if you have more fine hair, I suggest you start at a lower temperature as it won't take as long for the hair to curl.
Tool:
How To:
1. Separate your hair into workable layers
2. Take the first piece of hair and place it in the flat iron
3. Pull straightener towards you, giving it a half-turn and glide it down until you reach the end of your hair, then release. (Hold the straightener horizontally to get more of beachy wave, vertically to get curls.)
4. Finish the layer of hair you have down, then let the next layer you want to work with down from the clips and work through the rest of your hair.
5. When finished curling all of your hair, take a small amount of product ( I use Moroccan Oil but you can use any product of your choice that is not sticky) and work it through your hair. I prefer not using hairspray, but if you want your hair to set for a long day or night out, you can spray through a bit of hairspray too (again, I use Moroccan Oil Hairspray)
6. And you're done! Finished Look

Absolutely gorgeous & perfect! You and the hair. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely hair. I will have to try it out. Do you use product before you curl? Like a mousse, gel or some other type of hair product before your hair is dried, or just bare hair? Also, what in the world do you have on your lips? It is perfect. If that is your natural lip color, I envy you. Otherwise I would love to know. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! What size is your iron??
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway you could do a short youtube video of you doing a wave? That would be great!
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDelete-m
White size iron? Is it a 1 inch?
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks gorgeous, but what the heck am I doing incorrectly? My hair ends up with one kink at the top and then stays straight the rest of the way down. Please help!

ReplyDeleteLove the tutorial and your hair... but I've tried this... twice now (with my computer in the bathroom so I could make sure I was following word for word) and it didn't even come close to working! I wonder what I'm doing wrong? I have a CHI flatiron that gets really hot!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing!! I have really thick hair and have the toughest time getting cute waves! I'm going to try this tomorrow! =) thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovely hair, but bummed I can't get it to work for me.. I still end up with straight hair and maybe a little kink at the ends. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but a video would be be great! Thank you!

ReplyDeletei like hairstyles i want to say that i can serme whole life to the hairstyles i can easily do this i like hairstyles it.hairstyles are a primitive one and often linked with the popular and demanding styles in 60s and 70s both in men and women. A parallel hairstyles approach is still followed for girls and women in modern hairstyles amazing hairstyle with a little untidy that confers a rock & bridal hairstyles roll look to your hair. This curly hairstyles. style has gone through slight changes over the time. Unlikely to older styles.
ReplyDeleteyea i agree with anonymous... i learn much faster with a video tutorial so can you please so that... THANKS... and you are really pretty and you have really beautiful hair im jealous lol
ReplyDeletei like cars infect i like car racing i want to say that these type of cars are the best and the best cars around the world.these are rarely known cars in some countries like pakistan an india and other under developing countries.i like it really i like it very much.i want to spend my whole life to this field because this is fantastic and super cool job i like it. I LOVE THIS! My hair is always straight, limp, and boring… I wish I would’ve seen this first because I think I tried 1,000 things before I finally found something that worked for me. I’m still going to try this though! If you’re interested in trying out what worked for me you can get the instructions here www.weartostandout.com/blog/how-to-get-perfect-wavy-hair and tell me what you think! xoxo, WearToStandOut
ReplyDeleteTHESE ARE NOT WAVES!!! THEY ARE LOOS CURLS!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish my hair would turn out like this and stay like this. By the time I finish the top layer, the curls start to fall out, even after spraying hair spray but im going to give this a shot though.
