The Rise of Fall

Wearing Zara Skirt (as dress)|Wilfred Vest|Rayban Sunglasses|H&M Belt|Cuff c/o Threadcase|Foley + Corinna Bag|Boots c/o Cougar Boots

We are currently having a heat wave here in Vancouver, so while I am still heading to the beach daily, I have been obsessed with the new fall fashions and am constantly yearning to layer and cozy up with knits and boots...

When I was approached to review the Limited Edition Pillow Boot by Cougar Boots, I was both excited and a little apprehensive...not because I didn't think the Pillow Boot was stylish, but because heavier boots are slightly outside my fashion radar, so I wasn't quite sure how I would style them.

When the boots arrived in the mail, however, this outfit came together and I couldn't wait for the weather to cool down to share the look with you!

  22. Those boots are all over the place today! I love how you've all styled them so differently, and I'm equally impressed that they're cool enough to wear in this weather :) I would never have thought to pair them with a dress, either- but it looks perfect they way you've done it!

I'm dying for fall to come, too, mainly because I want to wear all of the beautiful new clothes ;)

  24. I love how both you and Jen got these and totally made them your own in both your respective styles. This outfit is wonderful because it carries so many elements without looking busy or out of synch - I love the warm tones that your accessories give the whole look, and I also love the base that you started from with the grey-toned dress and vest. The layering works wonders for everything too and helps bring the boots into a casual but chic look. You look beautiful as per usual too :)

  29. Ah I can't believe how crazy things have been lately and that I'm only now getting a chance to comment on this post! Gotta love that we seem to schedule our posts together :P
You styled the boots so well- especially in our recent heat wave where boots are not normal attire! I can't wait to wear mine when the temperature dips, but definitely like your maxi take on them! xx
